  • Please do not bring a plus one unless they are specifically named on the invitation. Thank you so much for understanding!

  • We encourage our guests to enjoy a night off without the kids. We want our wedding to be a big celebration and we plan on partying into the night! So while your children may attend, festivities are definitely going to be geared towards adults. If you do plan on bringing your children, please let us know in the "Note From Guest" section of your RSVP.

  • Wedding Casual (think Hawaiian shirts, sundresses, and sandals) but we want you to wear whatever is going to make you look and feel your best! The reception will be outside, so please keep that in mind while planning your outfit.

  • Yes! There are rooms available at the First Colony Inn which is where the reception will take place. This is a great option if you want to stay on-site and not worry about transportation. There is also an additional block of rooms at the nearby Surf Side Hotel. Please see the Accommodations page for more info on how to book.

  • If you are staying at the First Colony Inn, the reception will be right outside your door! The Surf Side Hotel is also within walking distance.

    For those not staying in one of our wedding blocks, we recommend taking a Lyft or an Uber, as additional parking will be limited.

  • The reception will be outdoors under a tent.

  • We recommend flying into Norfolk International Airport.

    You will need to rent a car or arrange for transportation to and from the airport. It is about a 1 hour 45 minute drive from Norfolk to the Outer Banks, depending on traffic.

    **Please note, you will need cash or an E-ZPass for the Chesapeake Expressway Toll.
